Online ‘Advent Pause’ Series with Pastor Heather
Advent is a time of intentional waiting, patient expectation and longing, as people of faith await the arrival of Jesus’ birth on Christmas morning. For four weeks, amidst the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations, Christians are invited into a different pace and rhythm. It is the quiet hope-filled life of finding our center in the promises of God’s amazing love that comes to us as we prepare our hearts to make way for Jesus coming amongst us, even today.
If you would like to journey with others, to take time to pause and reflect this Advent season, please join our community of faith online every Tuesday evening this Advent, beginning December 1, from 7:00pm-7:45pm. Pastor Heather will lead this Advent experience as we share in conversation, reflection and Advent devotions.
Each week we will be looking at a way to prepare for Advent by sharing some of our favorite holiday traditions. Each session stands on its own, so show up when you can. No experience or preparation is necessary. Discover new ways to enjoy the fullness of Advent as we give thanks multiplying our joy as we prepare in these four weeks together.
Advent 1: Tuesday, December 1st-Slowing Down (bring an idea of what you do to slow down and experience the fullness of God.)
Advent 2: Tuesday, December 8th– Preparing the Way (bring a recipe or share a favorite Christmas meal tradition)
Advent 3: Tuesday, December 15th– Songs of the Season (come prepared to share and sing your favorite Christmas carols)
Advent 4: Tuesday, December 22nd– Sharing the Christmas Story (share a favorite Christmas memory or a family Christmas picture)
