Local
Churches United Meal Site
Faith Lutheran serves meals to the poor in the Quad Cities every other month at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport as part of the Churches United Mealsite program.
North Scott Food Pantry
Faith Lutheran Church houses the North Scott Food Pantry. Worshipers bring pantry items to the church all year round and members of our congregation volunteer to work at the Food Pantry each month.
CARELink
This is an emergency assistance fund for those who find themselves in trouble. Faith Lutheran is part of a coalition of churches in Eldridge who have banded together to coordinate emergency relief for such things as food, gas, housing, prescriptions, bus tickets, etc. Access to the assistance is by referral from the pastors of the churches of the North Scott Clergy Association, including Faith.
Habitat for Humanity
Faith Lutheran participates in this world-wide, ecumenical ministry that works with low income people to finance and build homes. Those receiving the homes work along side volunteers so that they have “sweat-equity” in their residence.
Flu Shot Clinics
Genesis Medical Center frequently uses Faith Lutheran as a flu/pneumonia shot site.
Hearts to Harvest
Foods Resource Bank (FRB) is a worldwide ministry, whose mission is to globally connect local communities, through agriculture, to create lasting solutions to chronic hunger. “Hearts to Harvest” is the local ecumenical FRB growing project, operated in partnership with St. Ann’s Catholic Church and has funded: seed adaptation in Kenya, a dairy cooperative in Bosnia, drainage and terracing projects to protect soils in India, and helped re-establish agricultural and animal practices in war-torn Liberia.
