Compassion Sunday
Compassion International is a Christian based child-advocacy ministry pairing compassionate people with children living in extreme poverty to release the children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty.
Our congregation sponsors a child with a monthly sign-up that is never left empty. Thank you to all of our congregation members who have sponsored a child!
This weekend we are celebrating Compassion Sunday. We give thanks for all those who help us to sponsor two children, John and Denisse, and all those who sponsor children individually. Through the work of Compassion International, we are able to help provide for children around the world who are in need of food, water, education, and the basics of life – we are able to do the love of God in the world. Through the work of Compassion International, we are changed as well as we care for and love these children whom we only meet through letters and pictures, but whose joy and curiosity teach us a new kind of love.
